Subject: Neil at Sierra Nevada Brewery?

Dear Fellow Rustie,

Subject: Atalanta Rust Row: keep the faith

Dear Rusties,
I placed our order yesterday for 12 tickets yesterday (guess not alot of Rusties want to converge here). Since I didn't have enough tickets to qualify for group sales, there is a $3.50 service chage per ticket. I wanted to confirm my order today, but work kept getting in the way of my social life and I've been unsuccessful reaching my contact before leaving work. I left 2 messages w/ her, as well as trying to reach Lakewood to confirm (Sting is playing there tonight, so it's been tough getting ahold of someone who would know something out there, + they're a *little busy*. I have faith in my source, I hope you'll all have faith in me. As soon as I hear something, I'll come to work and post.

Take care, try not to get too anxious,

. . . . .Tom

Subject: Deer Creek RustRow Update & Ticket Info

Rusties-

Here's the update on the Deer Creek Rustrow. I talked to Sunshine Promotions Thursday. They are holding at least 40 pavilion seats for us. (As long as we buy 40 or more tickets, we avoid paying TicketMaster charges). They cannot sell us the tickets until the show is announced, which I was told would happen July 8th, so I don't know exactly where the seats are. We also have to give them the final number of seats at this time. They said they will call me after the show is announced and get this info.

For those of you not going Rustrow, tickets go on sale 7/13. Pavilion seats are $28.50, lawn is $22.50.

If you have already talked to me about getting tickets for this show, please do the following:

  1. Send me a money order (can deal w/ a check, but would prefer money orders) that will cover the amount ($28.50 times # of tix)
  2. Mail it ASAP to:
    Joe Berkemeier
    530 Debra Lane
    Indianapolis, IN 46217-3842
Put a note w/ your name, e-mail, and number of tix with it. If you'd like me to mail you the tickets, enclose a 32 cent stamp.
  3. E-mail me a note saying that "the (check/money order)'s in the mail" when you mail it. Hopefully, all these precautions will avoid any screwups.

If you haven't already talked to me about getting tickets, please e-mail me your name and the # of tickets you are interested in; then follow the above procedure.

If I don't have your money by July 10th, then I won't be able to buy you a seat. I'm sorry, but I don't have the $$$ to cover for people.

RustFest - I'm still trying to determine where this will be held. It will probably be either in a) a local park or b) the Deer Creek parking lot due to the potential for a LOT of people! We've got time on this, so.....Ideas on where to have the RustFest are also appreciated.

Well, it looks like this is gonna come together.....YES!!! If anyone out there has suggestions/things I forgot, let me know.

    Dear DC area Rusties,

Got the tickets today, all 42 of 'em. What a sight. I'm changing my mind, keeping 'em all and going as Charlie Sheen. Might catch a pick. ---JUST JOKING !!-- DON'T CALL !!!

Seriously, I've got at least a dozen un-committed tickets. Who wants 'em ?

We're in section 102, rows K, L, M & P, on the left side of the soundboard area

I was at Stone Ridge (I like that name better than Nissan) last night for Furthur. Great sound system ! Neil & CH will be loud!

I was looking at Addicted to Noise and they have tour dates. To my surprise Hershey PA was there, as part of the HORDE Show. I called the marketing department and they wouldn't exactly confirm, but said for me to call July 9, and she will set aside group tickets for Rust rows. She said I will have my tickets in advance and won't have to wait in line or call. She also said she will make sure we get the best seats possible. ANyone interested e-mail me so I can get some idea of quantity. COOL, I'm pumped....

The Great Woods information line (508 339-2331) has just confirmed that the much rumored 2nd night for Mansfield MA is now officially announced. Tickets for Aug 22nd will go sale this saturday June 29th at 11a.m.

Next Ticketing handles Great Woods, they have an automated system at 617 423-NEXT or 423-6000 for a real person. Tickets also available at selected Newbury Comics stores and one Strawaberries store in Framingham Mass. Most Newbury's do wristbands for a lottery driven spot in line, so call your local store, showing up at 6am will likely do you no good.

Well the gods must be conspiring for us---the unoffical Rust Row will be in section 201:

    • Joe has seats in 201 row Q
    • Paul has seats in 201 row T
    • and Cheryl, Wesman amd myself have tix in 201 row S!
    Coincidence? --- I think not! (: (: (: (: (:

So I do hereby proclaim section 201 as the "unofficial" rust row in Camden! Hope to see you all there!

P.S.: We know that one of you other Rusties must have a ticket in 201 row R --- confess!!! (: (: (: (:

The show at the Virginia Beach Amphitheatre was just officially annouced today for August 15th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 28th, at 10:00.

I have left a message with the Box Office about possibly getting a group of advance tickets for a Rust Row, I'll let everybody know if/when I get in touch with them about it.

Subject: Nissan Rust Row, latest scoop

Yow! My mailbox explodes with delighted Rusties!

I got 30 tix in advance thru group sales and it looks like it might not be enough ! I got another 12 tacked on after coordinating with Sheila, but they're all spoken for.

Many requests have included non-Rusties beyond the significant other or blood relative links. I'm thinking hard about this. The whole idea behind this has been to get _Rust_ Rows.

My advice: If you're planning on going to the box office or TicketBastard, do it ! Get as many good seats as you can. There should be no problem getting rid of excess tix.

Sometime next week, when the dust has settled, we'll get organized, trade up for better seats, etc. As long as we got lots of tix to work with we'll have a lot of flexibility.

Now then, I'm gonna be out of town (and away from e-mail) this weekend. Don't expect any reply from me any sooner than Monday evening. Most of the 30 have already been spoken for. Don't rely exclusively on any of these being available. Go get more tix!

    Ever Oxidizing,

    Live Music Is Better Fans:

Just got a call from Cherry who got a call from Mitch, who just got off the phone with Madison Square Garden. MSG says there is no Neil show booked at the Garden, there are no Neil tickets going up Saturday or next week...

We agreed it's not surprising news since virtually every show on this tour is at a shed; this indoor venue in the middle of August just stuck out like the proverbial sore thumb...

Happy first day of summer, eh!

    Subject: Re: Neil in "D.C."

I just got off the phone with Nissan Pavilion. Their box office has no service charge, and takes credit cards! I'm thinking of going out there on Saturday morning and buying up as many tickets as I can, but wondering if this would be a good idea. Not sure what the limit would be, maybe 8 or 10 per person. I guess I could get a mini-row or something, wouldn't want to get stuck with a bunch of extra tickets if all DC rusties bought up a lot though. Any ideas? How has this been handled in the past?

Ticket prices haven't been annouced yet, but comparable shows at the place are about $50 for the closest seats, $30 for other inside seats, and $20 or so for lawn seating.

Subject: Getting Tickets - Tip #1

    R@D:

OK. Looks like it's getting close to SALE time. Here's installment #1 on getting good seats for Neil.

TICKETS TIP: If we all pull together, lots of us Rusties should be able to snag decent ticket seats for the tour. Whenever possible, folks should DEFINITELY try to get extra tix of GOOD seats. Not lawn/nose-bleed jobs, but 1st 20 rows or so.

So if you end up at the front of the line and/or connect in first few moments of phone sales, CONSIDER picking up a few extras.

Folks are always looking to upgrade. The US tour is shaping up to look like amphitheater deals. Approx half reserved/half lawn. Also, as cool as RUST Rows are, you'll always end up with better tix when buying a pair instead of 4, 6 or more. Getting 8 contiguous seats starts to get tough after the opening frenzy. But not to discourage RUST rows!

Hell, I couldn't make it to the OPLs. But I'll be looking for decent seats, nonetheless.

Another factor is the opening band factor. Thank God no PJ (as much as I like PJ). Just hope for no Hootie or some other mega-hot band, either.

I encourage others to share ticketing tips. The power of RUST!

With a one-way ticket to the land of truth...
