Proceed through the light. As you pass the light, Lakewood Amphitheatre is to your left. The first left is marked as Exhibitor parking. Pull in there if it's open. If it isn't, continue down the road to the Lakewood Parking lot. (Both the exhibitor parking and the Lakewood spill into one another, it's just that the first one is closer to the Bar & Grill, for you folks attending the RustFest.)

If you have problems, you can call the Lakewood Amphitheatre at 404-627-6739, where there is recorded info on getting there from different directions.

Couldn't find a seating chart. Here's a description (thanks Cherry!):
There are three orchestra sections, with 2 being in the center. Behind that are sections 101, 102 and 103. The orchestra pit is flat with folding chairs. The 101, 102 and 103 sections are inclined.

There are twelve rows in the orchestra sections. So section 102, row A is thirteen row center. There are 40+ seats per row in the center section (like Orchestra 2), and I think she said 12 seats in each row in orchestra sections 1 and 3.

    Rust Info

    (No RustRows.)
Informal RustFest on the 21st (planned too late for formal RustFest status). Here are the details, from Jennie:
    1. The parking lot opens "2 hours before showtime" so 5-7pm = RustFest!!! 8-)
    2. There are 16 adjacent parking sections at Great Woods!! 8-O So, look up in the sky, for a bunch of helium balloons floating above you on long strings. They will be at whichever spot Rusties are gathering before the show. I've ordered a dozen purple & gray balloons + 1 mylar type with a smiley face on it. Shakey, Mike and I aim to arrive at Mansfield (with balloons & guitar) by 5pm, both days. (How we're going to fit all this in my little hatchback, I have no idea yet!!) ;-D
    3. If some disaster befalls the balloons, I guess we can just hang out near the main entrance turnstiles. Look for MORE BARN shirts! 8-)
    4. In between sets, let's head for The Garden Cafe - it's the only thing inside Great Woods which there is only ONE of, and which is not too far away from any of the sections. It's down the hill and to the right side as you're facing the stage. It's towards the left as you enter the venue, through the turnstiles. Also, in case of rain, it has a small covered area to stand under - but... it's NOT going to rain, right!?! ;-)
    5. Look for Rusties in Sections 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and the Lawn - from what I've read on Rust lately, that's mostly where we are. I'll be looking for those MORE BARN shirts!

    Getting There

    Here are maps.

Please note that accomodations in downtown Toronto (or in Barrie) on Labour Day Weekend can get VERY SCARCE. I've phoned some middle-of-the-road hotels downtown and all but one were full. The Days Inn on Carlton Street had a few rooms left ($99/2 dbl. beds, 1-800-329-7466).

For those travelling on the cheap, try the Toronto International Hostel. Great location, double rooms, pool, etc.: $25, 416-971-4440. Please note that Barrie is in a touristy area called Cottage Country. You don't want to arrive there on Labour Day Weekend without a place to sleep.
